Newspapers intentionally and maliciously misrepresents the murder of a UK pregnant woman

Title correction: misrepresent* not misrepresents

Amber O'Brien (33) was 9 weeks pregnant with twins when she accused her drunk, and drugged boyfriend, Stephan Garner (31), of cheating, who came home at dawn. During the arguement he stabbed her 60 times.

At first ,newspapers accross the UK and US claimed she aborted the twins and that resulted in him murdering her. Entirely basing it on the claim that she threatened to get an abortion, coming from the drunk and drugged murderer who later admitted to the cheating arguement.

Later they posted these type of articles, not disclosing who's cheating did the arguement started over (the word "HIS" would've been enough) in the title:

Truthful title: Man 'stabbed pregnant girlfriend to death after argument over HIS cheating'

They obviously bank on people only reading the title and not reading the first sentence of the article:
"A man claims he fatally stabbed his pregnant girlfriend after an argument in which she accused him of cheating, a court has heard."

Articles like this normalize large scale violence against women and lay the ground for the inevitable; infuriatingly low charge he's going to receive for murdering his partner and his unborn twins over getting caught cheating, with extreme violence to top it off. People (or rather, males) will believe him getting little to no punishment will be justice because the media paints her as a cheating, baby killing harlot (this is not my opinion of abortion, just these males feel).

The media is gravely complicit in femicide and misogyny. I hope whoever titled that article, (the editor, boss, or the writer) gets hit and killed by the short bus they belonged on as a child.


