If he is let out because he is mentally unfit to stand trial, then he should be in a mental asylum. He shouldn't be a free man.

If someone doesn't intervene, there is a significant chance that this man will try to kill that woman. The law has failed her. This man needs to be segregated from her, or k worded before he actually attacks her.
